Summer was nice while it lasted....
From Friday to Tuesday, the weather here has been unusually nice - sunny and highs in the 70s (80s in the sun!). I even got a brief tan over the weekend by lounging on the balcony (and cleaning it). But the next 10 days are forecast for highs in the high 50s, low 60s. Steve kept saying "they" predicted a hot summer but I didn't realize summer was only going to be 5 days long.

Bungee!

This morning when I got up, I looked outside and across the canal was a big crane and a cage attached to it on the ground. My first thought was that they were setting up a bungee jump and I turned out to be right. A few hours later, I heard people screaming and shouting in what I would normally attribute to drunken celebrations had it been late at night. But instead, I peek outside and see people plummeting to the earth! So of course I got out my camera and 300mm lens.
Also, take a moment to note the rare English sunshine and clear blue skies.
I'm now off to the Didsbury Inn for some steak and ale pie! No bungee for me...
